So for now I am loving torqued, but next summer I will be heading down to Bren for a dyno tune. Car for Sale USA FL Melbourne Area Subaru WRX STI 2015 - 2015 Subaru WRX STI. Bren did say to check for leaks on the tgv and intake, but I guess I did not think to check there.

I had my mechanic install an EBCS and when he took the stock one off he found a crack in a nipple. That all being said I cant say for certain that Brens tune was an issue. Not sure if those are normal numbers, but I do know that with the torqued tune it seems like the cold start is a lot better.for now. Now the boost doesnt fluctuate at all, although does go as high as -2 for about the first 10 to 20 seconds, then it drops to -7 and then around -11ish at idle. My past issues kind of looked like : boost would fluctuate rapidly on a cold start and would have the roughest idle noise (sounded super unhealthy). Yup, I have not had a cold start issue with the torqued performance tune.yet. Anyway, I'm not really a fab type person, just plug and play, so someone please come up with a good in-tank solution for us! I have talked to Radium and others and nobody has anything at this time.So you have a 2016 with TiC TGV Deletes and no cold start issues with Torqued Performance? I've also though about putting some foam around the tank to keep the fuel in place, maybe a doughnut shaped piece that would fit around the pump. It's in long hard sweeping turns when the tank is low that the fuel sloshes away from the pump and it starts sucking air. If someone would fab a larger 'cup' to replace the stock one, the bottom part of the fuel pump, I think everything else would be fine. The problem with the WRX setup is that the in tank pump is in a smallish container that doesn't hold much fuel. I have been running E85 for about 6 months and upgraded my in tank pump to a DW300C not long after doing the upgrade.

One of the techs told me one of the fixes in it was to reduce power when the tank was less than 1/4 full so that you won't get fuel starvation. I had to detune my mitsubishi to around 400hp to do hillclimb races without overheating and those were only 2 minute sprints and the turbo (gt35r) was very efficient in that range unlike the stock wrx turbo.

It's fun seeing how high you can push little engines, but they overheat quite easily when you really push them hard. I would want a more conservative tune around 320hp or so max. Of course the stock turbo seems to be capped around 400hp, but I would think that level would be really stressing the stock turbo and fuel system on the wrx. I would be curious to know the flow rates on the stock pumps/injectors for the wrx. I was running 1150cc injectors prior and was close to maxing out (94-96% duty cycle). On my 500hp evo 8 I needed 2 fuel pumps in parallel (in tank) and 1450cc injectors to keep up with E85 fuel demand (although only around 80% duty cycle). I would just let off the gas and limp it home until I could replace the pump.

I had a few fuel pumps die on me in my evo and it was obvious the car was going lean (loss of power/not wanting to rev). If you tuner knows what they are doing they should have ignition cuts for lean conditions in case your fuel system can't keep up so you don't destroy your engine. Of course a fuel pump can never hurt, but it sounds like these cars have 2 different pumps.

A bit pricey ($1500-1600), but that will most likely be my first mod once they get a little more r&d behind the 15/16 wrx versions.

You could go with a flex fuel tune so then you can run any mixture of e85/regular gas you want.
